Learning and Laughing

I've got a lot to learn- about EVERYTHING. I choose to believe that this is a good thing, though there are times when I start to wonder if I'm making progress. How does one become wise? Perhaps one just IS wise, and I'm not that one.
I know that I am learning new things all of the time, but it seems like a lot of what I'm learning has to do with letting go of other things that I once learned-- once believed. I can't do this... I can't be that... I have to always........ the list goes on and on. It's good to let go of old ideas that don't work for us any longer. It's great to realize again and again that it is possible to change and try something new! If only I could have back all of the time that I have wasted postponing or ignoring changes that I knew would be inevitable. One of these days I'm going to get smart and embrace the change I see coming down the road! Hmmm. Why not today?
Children are the greatest at learning new things-- they do it every day as they play, toothy grins on their faces, giggles and laughs and shouts of amazement for each new thing they discover about themselves or the world.
So here's my goal: I'm going to PLAY more, LAUGH more, and learn with more enthusiasm, because I do still believe that there is a whole wide world to get to know.

There's a first time for everything

I've been inspired (read: instructed, though in a nice way) to start a blog. Hmmm. Never really thought this kind of thing was for me, but I'm looking forward to seeing what might come of it.

I believe that every life is beautiful, even in the mundane moments. I also believe that there's power in communicating, not just with the world, but with yourself. Maybe blogging is another way to do both. I'll give it a go.
